Claire, I'm so sorry you and your mom are going through this. I'm glad you are able to communicate with your mom, and that she is trying to leave. I understand how hard it must be for you. But don't feel guilty. Your mom is in the middle no matter what because your her daughter and that is her husband, it was her choice. You should not have to feel like you are walking on eggshells in your own home. Your mom needs to protect you as she is responsible for your well being. She needs to have a plan in place to leave as soon as possible because of the emotional abuse that is taking place. Call the domestic violence hotline in your area and tell them your situation and they can get you and your mom into a safehouse if necessary. Good luck
