Her Periodic Break ups?

Okay, so every time my girlfriend gets her period, shes feels... well she says "blah" around me. I know this is just her hormones fluctuating, but how can i prevent it? Weve broken up twice because of this and i was wondering if there is any way she can prevent her hormones from changing so violently.
